A Case of Distal Renal Tubular Acidosis with neonatal Hepatitis

Abstract
Renal tubular acidosis (RTA) is a clinical state of systemic hyperchloremic acidosis result from impaired urinary acidification, Type 1 (distal) RTA is explained as a deficiency of hydrogen ion excretion by the distal tubule and collectig duct.
We had experienced a case of neonatal RTA with hepatitis and hip joint contracture. Patient with distal RTA was diagnosed by means of the bicarbonate and furosemide loading test.
We treated this patient by naHCO3, Potassium citrate and cholestyramine. Up to present, the condition of this patient has been relatively good. So, we report this case with a review of literature.
